A small rectangular filigree trunk shaped casket of scroll and openwork design, that can safely be attributed to a 17th century Goan master craftsman production.
Round topped coffer of parallelepiped case, supported on four round feet, with two side handles and blossoming lotus flower lock.
The dense decorative scheme covers the entirety of the case, consisting of juxtaposed rectangular plaques, each filled by a four-petalled flower, and outlined by double thread curved zigzagging bands.
The handles are designed as two large inverted and juxtaposed commas, in the Mughal taste, suspended from a hollowed ring. The casket stands on four rounded feet each formed by superimposed rounded corollae.

Invulgar cofre em formato de baú, de filigrana rendilhada e vazada, atribuível a mestres goeses do século XVII.
Corpo de forma paralelepipédica com pegas laterais, que assenta sobre quatro pés esféricos, sendo a tampa de secção arredondada em volta perfeita, encerrando com uma exuberante flor-de-lótus desabrochada.
A decoração cobre inteiramente a superfície do cofre, constituída por reservas rectangulares justapostas, preenchidas por quadrifólios com pétalas de aletas e limitadas por bandas em fio de metal duplo com ziguezague curvilíneo.
As asas desenham duas grandes “vírgulas”, justapostas e invertidas, ao gosto Mogol, suspensas por anel vazado com decoração em ziguezagueante e os pés em bola, formados por duas corolas afrontadas.
